Doxycycline Bolus Cattle is a bacteriostatic antibiotic used by veterinarians for the treatment of infections. such as Lyme disease, Chlamydia, Rocky Mountain Spotted Fever and bacterial infections caused by susceptible organisms.Animal Doxycycline Bolus and Veterinary Doxycycline Bolus is used for the treatment of infections caused by Doxycycline susceptible organisms in dogs and cats including skin infections, such as pyoderma, folliculitis, respiratory infections, genitourinary infections, otitis externa and otitis media, osteomyelitis and puerperal infections. Animal Doxycycline Bolus Composition: Each bolus contains: Doxycycline 150mg, 250mg, 300mg, 600mg, 1500mg or 2500mg Dosage and administration: For oral use. Dogs: 5-10mg/kg b.w. every 12-24 hours. Cats: 4-5mg/kg b.w. every 12 hours. Doxycycline Bolus Cattle and Horse: 10-20 mg/kg b.w. every 12 hours. Precaution: Doxycycline should not be used in animals allergic to it or other tetracycline antibiotics. Use with caution in animals with impaired liver or kidney function. Do not use in pregnant, nursing, or growing animals since this medication may cause slowing of bone growth and discoloration of teeth. Side effects: Veterinary Doxycycline Bolus Side effects of doxycycline include vomiting, diarrhea, loss of appetite and drowsiness. Withdrawal time: Meat: 12days Milk: 4 days Warning: Keep out of reach of children. Do not overdose.
